AlpiLinK (‘Alpine Languages in Contact”’) is the new project hosted at the VinKo crowdsourcing website. The project aims to gather numerically relevant information about the Germanic and Romance minority languages and dialects spoken across the Alpine regions of Italy. Are you a speaker of a Tyrolean dialect or of a minority language like Cimbrian, Mòcheno, Saurano, Sappadino, Timavese, or one of the Walser varieties? Or do you speak a Romance minority language, like a variety of Ladin, Friulian, Occitan or Franco-Provençal, or a Romance dialect, like Venetan, Trentino, Lombard or Piedmontese? If so, we would really appreciate your help! You can participate by going to the “Participate” section or by clicking on “Participate” on the bottom of this page. In the section “Listen & Explore” you can listen to samples of recordings from the various geographical and linguistic areas.
